TUITION

tuition is due on the 1st of the month. Failure to provide payment by the 5th of the month will result in a $15 late fee. Payments may be made via the following options: auto billing, over-the-phone, cash, check, credit or paypal. If joining after the 1st week of the month, payments will be prorated by week (excluding Holidays).

Any payment that is not honored by a financial institution will result in a $15 late fee. Any returned check will result in a $25 service charge. No discounts or prorated options will be provided for scheduled days off, Holidays, illness, family events, or school functions.

Prorates will only apply to joining a class. For insufficient or neglected payments, student participation may be suspended until account is settled. All registration fees, tuition, rehearsals, recital, costume and other payments are non-transferrable and non-refundable. Monthly statements will be sent out on the 1st of the month to the primary email account holder.

CLASS CHANGES

When dropping or adding a class at any time, a 30 day notice is required. a drop-add form must be completed. These are available upon request. Just email info@diversitydancestudio.org.

Not showing up for classes, does not constitute a withdrawal from class. Accounts will continue to be charged for tuition until the drop-add form has been completed.

HOLIDAYS

Diversity Dance Studio will follow the LISD holiday calendar. It is highly likely that when the students do not have school, they will not have dance (with the exception of some Monday holidays that are TBD). You will be notified before every holiday.

We're closed on the following Holidays: Labor Day, halloween, Thanksgiving break, Christmas break, Spring break, EASTER, Memorial Day, and July 4th.

ATTENDANCE

Good attendance is imperative, as absences and tardiness can hold back an entire class. Students should be prompt and prepared for class and a teacher should be notified as soon as possible if they will not be attending a class. *Company policies differ- see company packet*

CLASS ATTIRE

Ballet- leotard and tights are expected.  Dancers dance better when they look and feel the part. It is important to be able to see the body in class when discussing muscle groups, technique, etc. Students will need ballet shoes- leather or canvas. Hair must be up and out of the face.

Jazz/Lyrical/Technique- dance clothes- Dance shorts, leggings, tanks, dance tops, leotards, etc. - jazz shoes or half-sole shoes. Hair must be up and out of the face.

Hip Hop- Tennis shoes and comfortable clothing.

Tap- IMPORTANT- Tap shoes with screw in taps and NOT nail in taps. Nails tear up our floor.

Private Lessons are open to any dancer that is interested in improving technique, strength & Flexibility, reviewing class critiques or choreography.

Private lesson fees are handled separately from tuition and will depend on the instructors rate. Lesson sign up times will be sent out by instructor.

Cancellation Policy for Private and Semi-Private Lessons - A private must be cancelled 24 hours in advance; if it is not cancelled within that time frame you are held responsible for the payment of the lesson. Exceptions are made on a one on one basis, depending upon the circumstances, If the instructor is not contacted 2 hours prior you will be charged for the lesson without any exceptions. Emergency circumstances are understood.

RECITAL

Annual Performances are held once a year in May or early june. diversity dance studio must receive recital fees by December 1st for first semester students and by february 1st for second semester students. All fees must be collected in advance to order costumes, reserve our location, and pay production costs.
